Vasilios N. Nicolaou

Vasilios Nicolaou, 86, of Chicago, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1940 in Rio, Patras, Greece, to the late George and Athanasia Nicolaou.

Vasilios met the love of his life, Konstantina, in Windsor, Ontario, and together they built their life in Chicago. A Greek chef by trade, he shared the food and traditions of his homeland with everyone who sat at his table. For all his talents, nothing mattered more to Vasilios than his family. They were his greatest pride and his greatest joy.

Beloved wife of, Konstantina; Loving father of, Theodoros (Kristina) and George; Cherished pappou of, Madelyn and Gianna.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 9:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10050 Ivanhoe Ave., Schiller Park, IL 60176. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at church from 8:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
