Vasiliki "Koula" Dimitrakopoulou

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vasiliki “Koula” Dimitrakopoulou, 90, on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Daughter of Georgios (late) and Konstantina (late) Korkofigas, and wife of Georgios Dimitrakopoulos (late), Vasiliki is survived by her 3 daughters, Christine (George, late) Karahalios, Konstantina Dimitrakopoulou, and Georgia (Stavros) Frangos, her 7 grandchildren, Alexander (Stacy), George Jr, and Nickolas (Lauren) Karahalios, Christos and Vasiliki Paravantis, and Nikoletta and George Frangos, and her 10 great grandchildren.

Born in 1935 in Levidi Arkadias, Greece, Koula was known for her profound love and hospitality toward all those she met. She spent her last 30 years splitting her time between the US and Greece to be able to spend time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. May we all carry the deep love for her that she always had for all those she knew and loved.

A visitation will be held from 1:00pm-4:00pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, IL. The funeral and internment will take place in Greece.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek American Rehabilitation & Care Center, 220 1st St., Wheeling, IL.
