Spyros P. Vaselopulos

Spyros P. Vaselopulos, 92, passed away on May 23, 2024. He was born in Rafti, Gortynia, Greece on November 10, 1931 to the late Panagioti and Katerina. Beloved husband of Katina; Loving father of Kathy, Peter (Legeri), Nick (Aspasia) and Mary; Cherished grandfather of Dimitri, Spyros P., Spyros N., Ekaterini, Constantine, Kirka, Nikitas, Nikiforos and Christos; Loving brother of the late John (Sofia), the late Tom (Popi), the late Nick (Soula), the late Eleni (Kosta), Stella (George) and Bill (Diane.)

Spyros leaves behind all those that dearly loved him in the US and Greece. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, and an inspiration to his children, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 4-8pm at Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N. Caldwell Ave., Niles, IL 60714. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL, 60076. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Church.
