Simon Demertzis, 95, of Harwood Heights passed away on September 22, 2026. He was born in Neos Skopos, Serron, Greece on May 1, 1931 to the late Konstantinos and Morfenia Demertzis. Beloved husband of the late, Elaine; Loving father of Dino (Georgia), George (Faye); Fond brother of Zaharias (Elllie), the late Argiris (Melpomene); Adored grandfather of Eleni (Brian) Towne, Ioanna, Simon and Niko (Christina); Cherished great grandfather of Mary Jane, Zach, Deon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:30am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at church from 9:30am until the time of service. Arrangements by Demeros Funeral and Cremation Services 847-302-7176
