Konstantinos (Gus) Karaboyas, 95, of Park Ridge, passed away on November 5, 2024. He was born in the village of Prodromos, Biotia, Greece, in May 1929, to the late Eleftherios and Eleftheria (nee Mihas) Karaboyas. Beloved husband of the late Eleftheria (nee Nikaina); Devoted father of Aspasia (Nick) Vaselopulos, Eleftherios, and Kathy (George) Malamis; Cherished grandfather of Spyros, Konstantinos, Eleftheria Ioanna and Andreas. In 1956, Konstantinos embarked on a journey to the United States with little more than a suitcase and an unwavering determination, with dreams of a brighter future. He ultimately settled in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where he built his family and lived a long and full life. For over 30 years, he worked as a bartender at the renowned French restaurant Chez Paul, where he became a beloved fixture and a friend to many. Konstantinos was also a devoted family man. His love and pride for his family were evident in all that he did, and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be deeply missed by all, but his legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
