John S. Walski

April 14, 1948 — June 4, 2021

John S. Walski,73, of Des Plaines passed away on June 4, 2021. He was born in Germany on April 14, 1948 to Walter and Genowefa. He would always call and ask if my sons wanted Burger King. His favorite thing to do was going to White Sox games and also Chicago Wolves games. In the springtime, he loved to go to the flea market every other Sunday and walk around and look for of course White Sox items for the grandkids, and then before we left, we grabbed something to eat and then went home. He was able to see his grandsons graduate high school and he was very proud of them. I know he would love to do more things with them. He is survived by his wife of 48 and a half years, Therese; daughter, Valerie (Joseph) Garza; and grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Jayden. He is preceded in death by his father; mother in-law, Isabel; and father in-law, Stanley. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Saint Stephen the Protomartyr Catholic Church, 1280 Prospect Ave., Des Plaines, IL 60018. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8PM at Andersen Morgan Funeral Home, 10300 W. Grand Ave., Franklin Park, IL 60131 and again on Friday at the funeral home from 9AM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements by Demeros Funeral and Cremation Services. For information, please call 847-302-7176
