James Maglaris

James Maglaris, 89, of Des Plaines, IL., passed away on August 31, 2021. He was born in Tripolis, Greece on September 2, 1932. Jim was preceeded in death by his father and mother, Xristos and Georgia; brother, George (Anastasia). He is survived by his son, Michael (Angela); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Zoe and Spiro; his brother, John (Fifi); sister, Sophia (George Tourloukis); niece, Kiki Tourloukis; great niece, Demi Bouzanis; and several nieces and nephews. Jim immigrated to the United States in 1951 and worked in several industries before establishing BPJ Foriegn Car Service with his partner Bob Bozonelos. During his free time, Jim enjoyed fine cognac, spending time on his porch and visiting the race track. Jim lived a full life and will be missed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:30PM at the Ridgewood Memorial Park Chapel, 9900 N. Milwaukee, Ave., Des Plaines, IL 60016. Visitation will be at the cemetery chapel from 1:00PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Arrangements by Demeros Funeral and Cremation Service.
