Elaine Demertzis

Elaine Demertzis (nee Paskalides), 90, of Harwood Heights passed away on July 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 20, 1932 in Neos Skopos, Serres, Greece to the late George and Zoumboulio Paskalides. She is survived by her husband, Simon; children, Dino (Georgia), George (Faye); grandchildren, Eleni (Brian) Towne, Ioanna (Petros) Diakatos, Simon and Niko; great grandchildren, Mary Jane, Zach, Deon; siblings, Peter (the late Panagiota); brother-in-law, Zaharias (Elllie) Demertzis; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Anestis (Meropi) Paskalides and brother-in-law, Argyris (Melpo). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10AM at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N. Caldwell Ave., Niles, IL 60714. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
