Dr. Alicia C. Merline

Dr. Alicia Cam Merline, 52, of Chicago passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born in Detroit, MI on April 21, 1974 to Henry and Adel Tarnowski. Dr. Alicia was a pediatric researcher. She was a force for good even in her time of need. She was a caring soul who kept helping people who were in despair. Dr. Alicia enjoyed crafting and painting on her time off. She was also a political activist in the community.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Koelling; children, Nathaniel Merline, Charlie Driscoll; sibling George (Carolyn) Rusnak; nephews, Geo, Liam and Brady and niece, Delaney; ex husband, David Merline; sisters in-law; Laura Riordan and Missy Koelling; brother in-law; Tim Koelling; and her pets, Hannah, Felix, and Tori.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 13, 2026 at 7 pm at Midtown Funeral Home, 3918 W. Irving Park Road, Irving Park, IL 60618. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm. Arrangements by Demeros Funeral and Cremation Services: 847-302-7176
