Basiliki Kanavoutsis

Basiliki Kanavoutsis, 89, of Des Plaines passed away on January 3, 2024. She was born in Lesvos, Greece on November 1, 1934 to the late Panagioti and Katherine Hatzipetros. Beloved wife of the late Georgios; Loving mother of Mary (Lester) Interrante and Michael (Angie) Kais; Devoted yiayia of Nicholas, Vanessa, Natalie (Matt) Malcolm, Alexander and Zoe; Great grandmother of Caleb and Melanie; Dear sister of Theodore Hatzipetros and Anna Kosteltos; Fond aunt of many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine and sister, Victoria Filides. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N. Caldwell Ave., Niles, IL 60714. Interment will follow at Town of Maine Cemetery.
