Anthony "Tony" Joseph Janis

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Janis, age 66, of Chicago, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2026. Tony was born on August 14, 1960. He was a deeply dedicated man who built a fulfilling 34-year career at Minuteman International, where he made many lasting connections and friendships over more than three decades of hard work.

 On his journey through life, Tony found his true partner and the love of his life, his husband, Robert Coe. Together, they shared 16 beautiful years of marriage, building a warm home and a life rooted in mutual devotion and love in the city of Chicago. Above all else, Tony will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor. He had a rare gift for bringing laughter into any room, a quality that brought immense light to his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. 

He is survived by his beloved husband, Robert Coe; his loving children, Adam Anthony Janis and his wife Jenny, and Kimberly Tuttle (née Janis) and her husband Mike; and his cherished granddaughters, Charlotte and Isabelle. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Cindy, Gigi, and Lisa, as well as a host of extended family members, colleagues, and friends who will miss his laughter and presence fiercely. Tony was preceded in death by his beloved father Joseph Janis, his mother Betty Jane Ferguson (nee Lasky) and brother, Lon "Lonnie" Janis. A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at a later date.
